What are we all playing this weekend?
I swear it was only Monday about two seconds ago. One of you is having fun with the passage of time. Come on, confess. Who is it? I need some of those hours back, please, or we’ll never get anything done here. And in addition, we will not have time to play video games between the finalization of the seasonal dishes and the gift plans.
I’m going to lie face down on the couch until the grids of the Christmas program worksheets are gone from my eyes, then after that I’ll go play a little more at Wytchwood because it’s so cool. .

My plan is to bounce off a few games and see what sticks. I could try out the new Warzone Pacific map or go back to Eastward, a game I probably shouldn’t have started because I have a huge backlog. Final Fantasy XIV is also calling. I’m still stuck in a Realm Reborn, but I have to keep going.
It occurred to me this week that Minecraft is a bit of a Christmas classic. Everyone is running frantically looking for snacks while decorating their new home and sometimes throwing logs on the fire. What could be more Christmas than that? Of course, there aren’t usually many zombies around during the holiday season, but you have to take some creative liberties, right? Well, with only two weeks until Christmas Day, I’m going to embrace the holiday spirit this weekend and explore some of these new caves and cliffs.

Thanks to a combination of new DLSS support and interest from Forbidden West, I’m dangerously close to starting Part 4 of Horizon Zero Dawn.

I’m going to be playing a fair bit of Hunt: Showdown this weekend. We decided to give things a little spin by selling all of our guns and gear with the exception of a single load and then getting rid of all our hunting dollars so we have virtually no money to buy more loads for future hunters. Things were pretty dicey for the first couple of games, as we struggled to get even the most basic loadouts in place for our Bounty Hunts. It was awesome, and I’m excited for more. I encourage all Hunt players reading this to try it out the next time you play Prestige!
We all know how badly I want to play The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, because right now that’s what I play every weekend. But I’ve been sick all week and can barely speak, and what’s an Ace Attorney game if you don’t do all the vocals? Only like 80% of the full experience, that’s what. Sometimes I curse my love of games to be read aloud.
See? I told you we were an empty nest. But you, dear reader, sneaky little clock changer, what are you playing this weekend?
