The Pueblo City and County Economic Outlook Forum will be held from 7-9:30 a.m. Nov. 18 at Pueblo Community College, 900 W. Orman Ave.

Court-Appointed Special Counsel Zane Grant Receives State Honor
Pueblo Court Appointed Special Advocates Executive Director Zane Grant was recently named Colorado CASA Staff Member of the Year for his exemplary leadership within the organization, both locally and internationally. statewide.
CASA supports and promotes court-appointed attorneys who are responsible for assisting abused or neglected children during the court process. In addition to opening CASA of Pueblo in 2002, Zane assumed leadership of Heart of Colorado CASA in Cañon City in 2012, and in 2017 helped launch and manage Heart of Colorado CASA in La Junta.
He is the only director of the agency to manage three programs that serve eight counties.
Grant is known for going above and beyond in managing rural operations and helping Pueblo’s fast-growing program. He introduced new youth development programs, including Fostering Futures and the Safe Baby Court Team program, both of which have become models for CASA programs in the state and nationwide, according to a CASA report.
Fuel & Iron Food Hall Founders Win Economic Development Award
The founders of the Fuel & Iron Food Hall received a 2022 EDIE Award for “Business of the Year” from the Colorado Council of Economic Development, which recognizes significant contributions to Colorado’s economy.
