Anantnag, November 23: DC Anantnag Dr. Piyush Singla today reviewed the progress of execution of development work for the departments of health and education, here. Work implemented through the Prime Minister’s Development Program, State CAPEX, District CAPEX, centrally sponsored programs and languid projects were discussed during the meeting.
Dr Singla reviewed the progress of work for various ongoing projects. The progress of the new building for GMC Anantnag was reviewed and the executing agency was tasked with completing the priority works. He called on the implementing agencies to speed up ongoing projects and ensure their completion on time. The progress of work on the Janglat Mandi College of Nursing was also reviewed. He also asked CMO Anantnag to form an inspection team and submit an appraisal report of the ongoing projects.
Progress on NTPHC Larkipora, Hiller Larpora, SDH Bijbehara, among others, was discussed.
In the education sector, the progress of the work of the Boys Higher Secondary Bijbehara auditorium was reviewed.
Strongly noting the slow pace of development work being carried out by the JK Housing Board, the Deputy Commissioner issued orders to withhold an employee’s salary. He said all executing agencies should ensure that any unnecessary delays in execution are addressed at the earliest.
The meeting brought together Principal GMC, SE R&B, Joint Planning Director, Chief Medical Officer, Director of Education, Executive Engineers from various implementing agencies including JKPCC, JKPHC and the Council of lodging.
