Cloudera harnesses the power of cloud and data management for digital transformation

Cloudera has been supporting large-scale enterprise customers in Australia and New Zealand for nearly a decade now, delivering multi-purpose data analytics integrated with secure, governed data management across hybrid, multi-cloud data.

Harnessing the power of the open source community, the company aims to advance the digital transformation of organizations around the world and make data and analytics easy and accessible to everyone.

“At Cloudera, we are always looking to accelerate innovation and address the most pressing business needs,” said Robert Yue, vice president and general manager of Cloudera.

“In 2022, that means enabling enterprises to put their hybrid data strategy in place so they can start to truly leverage data everywhere.”

The company currently has over 60 employees in the A/NZ region, supporting partners and customers. Always mindful of market needs, they recently hired Colin Pont as the new senior alliance manager for the region.

“We are delighted to welcome Colin Pont as Senior Alliance Manager, who will focus on strengthening our key strategic partnerships in the ANZ region, enhancing the experience our customers and partners have with Cloudera,” said Christine. Delmas Monteiro, Cloudera Director of Global Partnerships for APAC. .

While strategic partnerships are an ongoing priority, innovative technology is also at the forefront of Cloudera’s success.

Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) was designed to unlock the potential of private and public clouds, helping enterprises and organizations take advantage of modern data architectures and transition to a hybrid data future. It’s been proven to deliver the best performance, scalability, and security and is built for modern infrastructures.

Key features and benefits of CDP include:

  • A unified data fabric that centrally orchestrates disparate data sources intelligently and securely across multiple clouds and on-premises.
  • An open data lakehouse that enables cross-functional analytics on streaming and data stored in a cloud-native object store that runs on a hybrid cloud or multi-cloud.
  • A scalable data mesh that helps eliminate data silos by distributing ownership to cross-functional teams while maintaining a common data infrastructure.
  • A continued focus on hybrid data is a key driver for the company, and they believe that combining the best technologies and tools with strong partnerships creates a strong path to success.

“As Cloudera enters its new chapter and focuses on hybrid data, we want to make sure that all of our partners and the partner ecosystem, including our ISV, MSP, GSI and Hyperscaler partners, will find it easier to do business. with us”, says Delmas Monteiro.

“Our partners need and want more empowerment and access to market opportunities and to that end we have made significant investments in our distribution space over the past year. These include new services and delivery training certifications, sales accreditations, and referral and rebate programs in our markets.

Looking to the future, the company is poised to focus more on hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure. They recently launched the CDP Universal Data Distribution (UDD) service using Cloudera Dataflow (CDF) for the public cloud, which can leverage all data sources, including at the edge, by ingesting and distributing data to all systems targets.

“Going forward, organizations will continue to need agility within operations. Leaders seek to be better equipped with data to become more agile and respond to market changes or changing business needs,” says Yue.

“We work with partners and empower our people in the field to have those relevant and necessary conversations with business leaders as we all work to adapt to a world where hybrid cloud and multi-cloud n is not just a commonality, but the way forward.”
